Aegros celebrated the end of financial year and the successful completion of several important milestones with a fantastic lunch that provided the Aegros team with the flavours of South India on a winter’s day.

Aegros staff and partners were invited to share a feast for all the senses recently when the team and proprietor of Nilgiri’s Feast of India came to our site at Eden Park Drive in Macquarie Park, to cater a three-course meal that was the bee’s knees on a cold winter day.

Taking a moment to reflect on our successes over the last year is an important part of acknowledging the hard work and dedication of every staff member, whether they be part of the global management team, a cleaner, a research and development scientist, a fitter, or even a Founder.

Nilgiri’s has been a favourite eatery of co-founders Professor Hari Nair and John Manusu for many years, and so it was fitting that they invited their favourite restauranteur Ajoy Joshi to cook and entertain Aegros staff for the afternoon.
Not only were Aegros staff treated to a mix of cuisines from the South of India, including many vegetarian options, but Ajoy also gave an entertaining demonstration of cooking technique as he made fresh paneer for us all to enjoy.

The major milestones Aegros was celebrating were the achievements of the last twelve months which includes:
- Successfully manufacturing a hyperimmune against Covid-19 for clinical trial
- Successfully completing the sentinel group of the clinical trial of the hyperimmune against Covid-19
- Securing a supply of Covid-19 convalescent plasma for the manufacture of the hyperimmune against Covid-19
- Partnering with the Queensland Government’s Invested in Queensland program for the construction of a 1,000,000L HaemaFrac® plasma fractionation facility in Springfield
- The successful completion of the factory acceptance test of the new HaemaFrac® HF-02, and
- The beginning of construction activities to upgrade the Macquarie Park HaemaFrac® facility from 30,000L p.a. to over 100,000 L p.a.
That’s a full agenda of reasons to celebrate by any stretch of the imagination.
The whole team was full of fine food and enjoyed the opportunity to share good times with colleagues.
